Can sales reps create orders offline?

Yes. Onsight is built with an offline-first architecture. Sales reps can view cached customer details, browse the product catalogue, and log complete orders without an internet or cellular connection. The app securely queues the data and syncs automatically the moment the device reconnects to the internet.

Can Onsight send orders directly to Alegra?

Yes. Orders approved in the Onsight app sync straight into Alegra. Your accounting team can then review, approve, and send invoices to customers without re-keying any data.

What data syncs between Alegra and Onsight?

Data flows in both directions. From Alegra into Onsight: products, pricing, stock levels, customer details, and tax codes. From Onsight back into Alegra: new customers created in the field, sales orders, and quotes.

Can Alegra remain our master database?

Yes. You do not need to maintain two separate systems. Alegra remains your central source of truth for customer accounts, item codes, and base pricing. Any updates you make inside Alegra automatically sync over to Onsight. Onsight-specific fields — such as product images, categories, and custom fields — are managed in Onsight and are never overwritten by an Alegra sync.

Is Onsight suitable for outside sales teams?

Yes. Onsight is specifically optimised for outside sales reps, field agents, trade show exhibitors, and route distributors who need mobile access to customer accounts, high-res digital product catalogues, live quote building, and rapid order entry.

Do stock levels stay up to date in the sales app?

Yes. Stock on hand from Alegra syncs automatically to Onsight, so reps can see current availability when placing orders. When stock changes in Alegra, the updated figure syncs back into Onsight — keeping your field team accurate at all times.

Can Onsight automatically hide products that are out of stock?

Yes. When an item's stock drops to zero in Alegra, Onsight can automatically hide it from the sales app so reps cannot order it. When stock is replenished in Alegra, the product reappears automatically. Alternatively, rather than hiding it completely, Onsight can add an 'Out of Stock' label to the product name so reps know not to promise it but can still see it exists.

Can I use my existing product images from Alegra?

Yes. If a product in Onsight has no image, we automatically copy the image from Alegra. This means your catalogue can be ready to use with minimal setup. You can also upload higher-quality images directly in Onsight at any time — those will not be overwritten by Alegra syncs.

How do I connect Onsight to Alegra?

Sign up for an Onsight account and email [email protected] to request activation of the Alegra connector. Once activated, your products, customers, pricing and tax codes will begin syncing automatically.

Can the integration be customised?

Yes. Beyond the standard sync, a wide range of customisations are available: automatically hiding out-of-stock products, syncing Alegra custom fields into the app, controlling the line item sort order on printed orders for warehouse packing, and custom field mapping between the two systems.
