The Onsight admin console provides an easy way to bulk upload your per-customer pricing information without having to update and import all of the other product info. Only your customer pricing info will be updated. This way all of your other product info will not have to re-sync to your team’s mobile devices. To use this tool, your product info, customer group info and customer info must be uploaded already. If you have not yet uploaded all your product info please rather follow the guide on how to bulk import your products instead.

To access the bulk upload tool to upload your per-customer prices:

• Log in to the Onsight web console at https://sales.onsightapp.com.
• Click on ‘Import & export data’ from the left-hand side menu.
• Click on the ‘Products + Groups’ menu item.
• Click on ‘Group price lists’
• This will open up the 4-step product group price lists import & export tool.

Step 1: Export the product group price lists data

Click the “Download” button and save the the product group price lists data sheet somewhere you will find it easily. Once done, click on ‘Continue’.

Step 2: Change the product group price lists data

Open the spreadsheet file. Each row in your spreadsheet represents one of your products. Each column contains a different customer group. Edit the cells to add the overriding price required for each customer group.

Step 3: Upload the new product group price lists data

Save your file. Click on the ‘+’ button and select your saved data sheet on your computer. Once done, click on ‘Continue’.

Step 4: Import the new product group price lists data

Click the ‘Import’ button to start the import process. Your data sheet will be analysed and validated. Once the import job progress is at 100%, click on either:

‘For review – view and approve this job’. If your data sheet passes validation, you will see a list of updates that will be applied once you approve the import job. If everything is correct, click ‘Approve Job’ and your data will be imported into the database.

‘Failed – view the job’. If the data sheet fails validation, a list of errors will appear, which you must correct before uploading it again. Click on ‘Cancel Job’ and correct the data in your upload data sheet and then start at Step 3 again.

Check on your import jobs

If you navigate away from the import process whilst it is running, you can come back later to check on the progress. To see the status of all your import jobs, go to ‘Import & export data’ > ‘Import jobs’ and you will see them all listed. Click on the file name to see the detailed progress.

Data volume limits

On the Business plan, you can have a maximum of 5,000 products and up to 100 customer groups. Each combination of a product record and a customer group record generates a new price list record. The combination of products and customer groups is limited to 320,000 price list records.

For example:

• If you have 5,000 products, you can have a maximum of 64 customer groups (5,000 × 64 = 320,000).
• If you have 100 customer groups, you can have a maximum of 3,200 products (100 × 3,200 = 320,000).

These limits do not apply if your Onsight account is connected to an ERP system / accounting system, as all the price list data in your external system will automatically sync to Onsight.
