Onsight allows you to set up a delivery schedule for each customer and then enforce rules for the delivery date so that customers always receive their orders on their next available delivery date. This removes manual errors and prevents orders from being assigned to dates that are not part of your delivery cycle. You can also set a specific cut-off time for same-day deliveries to ensure that delivery deadlines are met.
This is how you can enforce delivery days per customer:
- For each customer you need to set up a custom field called ‘Delivery Days’, which specifies the days that you can deliver orders to this customer. For example, this could be set to: “Monday,Wednesday,Friday”.
- Whenever a customer creates a new order, Onsight will automatically select the next available delivery date.
- Customers can also choose their own delivery date, as long as it conforms to their delivery schedule.
- If customers choose a delivery date that does not conform to their delivery schedule, Onsight will automatically select the next valid delivery date.
This is how you can set a cut-off time for same-day deliveries:
- Let us know what your cut-off time is for same-day deliveries, so that we can configure this on your account. For example, this could be set to 10:00AM.
- If today is a valid delivery day and the order is placed before your cut-off time, the order will be allowed. If it is after the cut-off time, the delivery date will change to the next available delivery date.
- You can set up a delivery cut-off time for same-day deliveries without enforcing any specific delivery days. If the order is placed after the cut-off time, the delivery date will change to tomorrow.
